Opportunity

The Manager will focus on compensation valuation (CV), an area in which LBMC has extensive history and a growing practice. Valuation and consulting services will be provided for a variety of arrangements, including but not limited to:

  • Call coverage
  • Medical directorships
  • Staffing and Subsidy arrangements
  • Various other professional services arrangements

Scope of Work

Qualified candidates will have superior technical skills, excellent project management and communication skills, and an overwhelming desire to provide first‑in‑class client service. The Healthcare Compensation Valuation (CV) Manager role will include the following:

  • Assist hospital and healthcare clients with their valuation and strategic compensation related needs
  • Review and supervision of valuation analysis and report preparation
  • Improve internal processes, policies, analyses, models and reporting
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients
  • Coach, train and develop staff and seniors
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep current with physician compensation trends

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics is preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare compensation valuation (CV) and five (5) years of overall experience in healthcare (financial and/or operations), including the following:
  • Experience with physician employment/acquisitions including financial due diligence, negotiations, and related legal/regulatory compliance standards
  • Experience with physician compensation contracts such as on-call, medical directorships and various professional services arrangements
  • An understanding of the current healthcare environment and fair market value regulatory considerations
  • Experience with market compensation databases commonly used in the valuation of professional service arrangements
  • Ability to develop creative approaches/solutions necessary to resolve complex problems
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with hospital CEO's, CFO's, Legal Operations Counsel, Development, and Physician Development and Services personnel
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Professional valuation credential (e.g., CVA, ABV) is preferred.
