A law firm seeks an experienced Corporate Finance Associate to join its dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This position is ideal for associates with a background in corporate finance, particularly those with experience in borrower-side leverage finance and fund finance. The successful candidate will be involved in high-profile transactions and provide legal counsel on sophisticated finance matters.
Duties:
- Provide legal support on borrower-side leverage finance and fund finance transactions.
- Draft, negotiate, and review complex financing agreements.
- Advise clients on various aspects of corporate finance, including structuring and restructuring deals.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to navigate complex financial transactions.
- Conduct due diligence and manage risk assessment throughout the transaction process.
- Work closely with clients to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts on high-value financing projects, ensuring timely and efficient deal execution.
Requirements:
- Between 3 to 7 years of experience in corporate finance law, with a focus on borrower-side leverage finance and/or fund finance.
- Experience handling sophisticated financial transactions and advising clients in corporate finance matters.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance regulations and industry trends.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and adept at managing complex transactions under tight deadlines.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active membership in the DC State Bar.
Skills:
- Expertise in leverage finance and fund finance transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research and due diligence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide strategic legal counsel and risk assessment.
