Overview

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago is seeking to appoint outstanding scholars to tenure track positions in Macroeconomics for the academic year.

Qualifications

We invite applications from those who hold a PhD (or equivalent) in the relevant field(s) or expect to complete the requirements for a PhD in the relevant field(s) by July 1, 2026 or soon thereafter (we require all tenure track faculty to have a PhD or equivalent). We will appoint those whose degree requirements have not been satisfied by this date as instructors, with the expectation that all PhD requirements will be satisfied soon thereafter, at which time you will be appointed as an assistant professor.

Responsibilities

Members of our faculty are expected to conduct original research of exceptionally high quality, to teach effectively, and to participate in and contribute to the academic environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $260,000 - $280,000 for assistant and $280,000 - $310,000 for associate
