Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $110,000 - $135,000 per year; Associate Professor: $135,000 - $175,000 per year; Professor: $175,000 - $240,000 per year

The University of Chicago’s Department of Pediatrics seeks tenure track/tenured faculty at any rank to develop an independent research program that complements the Department’s growing research portfolio in genetics & genomics. The Department of Pediatrics encompasses a vibrant community of researchers committed to improving child health and well-being through discovery and innovation. Appointees will have the opportunity to collaborate with investigators across the BSD, including faculty in the Institute for Population and Precision Health, the Duchossois Family Institute, the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as with faculty at affiliates such as Argonne National Laboratory and the Marine Biological Laboratory. We especially welcome applicants with an interest in neurogenetics to complement ongoing research in the Department. The appointees will teach undergraduate and/or graduate students and may have opportunities to teach medical students. Academic rank, tenure status, and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. These positions are benefits‑eligible. Appointees will have access to state‑of‑the‑art core facilities and to outstanding colleagues and graduate students affiliated with numerous degree‑granting programs within the BSD. Faculty in the Department and the Biological Sciences Division collaborate widely across their respective Departments, with other Divisions, Schools, and Institutes at the University of Chicago.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) and 2) have completed postdoctoral training.
