Head of eMacro Algo Engineering

Join RBC as the Head of eMacro Algo Engineering. This role works with Front Office eFX and eRates groups to build critical engineering and platform architecture for algo trading.

What You Will Do

• Build out critical infrastructure and engineering for FX and Rates e-books.
• Ensure high quality of technical work and direct reviews of tools and technologies to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Direct, motivate, develop and manage performance of management team and key staff.
• Direct and manage delivery of large or complex application development projects, defining strategies focused on technology development.
• Work with stakeholders across Rates and FX to build trading strategies and algos with focus on efficient delivery.
• Contribute to development effort around engineering of algo trading strategies and lead others.
• Design and implement key engineering builds across eMacro space for reusable components and electronic trading capabilities for algo teams.

What You Need to Succeed

• Hands‑on experience building algo trading platforms, developer and leadership of teams around automated e‑trading.
• 10+ years of Java development experience.
• Expertise with Rates or FX trading systems.
• Experience building eMacro engineering and platform infrastructure.

Benefits and Compensation

Competitive salary range $210,000 – $275,000, plus bonuses, 401(k) with company match, health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, paid time‑off and a comprehensive Total Rewards Program.
