In this role, you will ensure the flawless operation of hardware systems such as AI computers, networking gear, and data storage from concept through production. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and manufacturing partners to embed quality into every stage, establish processes, and track and resolve field issues. The position requires knowledge of modern data‑center hardware, including design, manufacturing, and testing, and a proactive problem‑solver attitude with ownership and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a changing environment.

US and international travel up to 20% is required (North America, Texas, Atlanta, Wisconsin, Sunnyvale, Mexico, Europe including Czech, Poland, Germany).

Responsibilities

• Own the overall product quality process, spanning internal and external development through deployment and production at scale.
• Develop predictive failure models using advanced statistical methods and track key quality metrics to extract actionable insights.
• Lead the resolution of product issues during manufacturing and field operations using structured problem‑solving techniques such as Eight Disciplines (8D).
• Communicate with cross‑functional teams and management, distilling technical information into clear presentations to facilitate informed decision making and alignment on quality initiatives.
• Develop and execute the overall product quality strategy and assurance plans for next‑generation AI hardware systems, collaborating with stakeholders and managing comprehensive product quality requirements, scope, schedules, and deliverables.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Certified Reliability/Quality Engineer (CRE/CQE) certification or equivalent experience.
• Five years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or product engineering of cloud hardware technology or electronic hardware systems.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials or other relevant engineering field.
• Experience leading cross‑functional engineering teams using a practical and solution‑oriented approach.
• Experience with manufacturing and field issue debugging, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience with advanced statistical methodologies (e.g., design of experiments, statistical process controls, Six Sigma).
• Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
