🚀 Electrical Engineer

Welcome to Actalent! We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. This full‑time, onsite role at the mid‑senior level focuses on the design, development, and testing of electrical components, equipment, and hardware for our systems.

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer you will apply engineering concepts and practices to motion‑control hardware, electro‑mechanical device controls, and PLC‑based hardware and software. Your work will support new product development, provide technical solutions for customer needs, and maintain manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select components that provide technically superior and cost‑effective solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop component specifications using standard engineering practices.
• Support the engineering team in new product and feature development.
• Review customer‑specific requirements and design, test, and document unique solutions for existing systems.
• Create testing and qualification protocols to validate and verify designs.
• Implement and maintain documentation, including bill of material maintenance and schematics, using the ERP system and AutoCAD Electrical software.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and service personnel.
• Develop work procedures and documentation for best practices and lead training sessions for company personnel.
• Advise customers on machine usage and installation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with capital equipment, industrial machines, and/or automated equipment.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design, with proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a product‑development and manufacturing environment.
• Experience selecting hardware and electrical components for machines.
• Knowledge of PLCs, primarily hardware‑related, with limited programming/software involvement.

Pay & Benefits
