Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and develop high-integration power management ICs (PMICs) for DDR, SSD, and server/storage applications.
  • Architect and implement analog and mixed-signal circuits such as DC-DC converters (buck/boost), LDOs, charge pumps, references, and protection circuits.
  • Design and innovate high-integration power management IC architectures, with emphasis on multi-rail, multi-function integration for DDR/SSD/server platforms.
  • Conduct detailed circuit simulations, verification, and validation to ensure performance meets product specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system engineers, layout engineers, and validation engineers to ensure seamless product development.
  • Own block-level or full-chip analog designs from specification to tape‑out, including characterization and debugging.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.
  • Document specifications, design methodologies, and test results with accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8–10 years of experience in analog/power IC design, with focus on PMIC or power solutions for DDR/SSD/server applications.
  • Strong expertise in PMIC design: DC-DC converters, multiphase controllers, LDOs, charge pumps, bandgap/reference circuits, sequencing, and protection.
  • Hands‑on experience with BCD or advanced CMOS processes for highly integrated power management IC design (multi-rail, PMIC SoC).
  • Proven track record of silicon success and tape‑out experience.
  • Solid understanding of system‑level power delivery in memory, storage, or server platforms.
  • Familiarity with industry EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics) for design, simulation, and verification.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
  • Education: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (analog/mixed‑signal or power electronics focus preferred).

Preferred Experience

  • Background in memory‑related power management (e.g., PMIC‑on‑DIMM for DDR5/DDR6, SSD controller power solutions).
  • Experience in high‑volume production from definition to validation.
  • Knowledge of low‑noise, low‑power, and high‑efficiency design techniques for integrated power solutions.
