Job Description
The role is to work with the Front Office eFX and eRates groups in the trading business to build critical engineering and platform architecture for algo trading. The candidate will have experience building key algorithms with a particular emphasis on the underlying infrastructure and engineering that supports those algorithms. The role involves technical leadership, ensuring a solid foundation of engineering and platform infrastructure for the algo trading business, and collaborating closely with traders and the Front Office teams.
What you will do
- Build out critical infrastructure and engineering for FX and Rates e-books.
- Ensure high standards and quality of technical work, directing reviews of tools and technologies to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Direct, motivate, develop, and manage the performance of the management team and key staff.
- Lead delivery of large or complex application development projects, defining strategies and client‑focused technology development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Rates and FX to build trading strategies and algorithms with efficient engineering foundations.
- Personally contribute to the development effort around engineering of algo trading strategies and lead development efforts of others.
- Design and implement key engineering builds across the eMacro space for reusable components in algo trading to serve desk needs and electronic trading capabilities.
What you need to succeed
- Hands‑on experience building algo trading platforms, both in development and in leading teams around automated e‑trading.
- 10+ years of Java development experience.
- Expertise with Rates or FX trading systems.
- Experience building our eMacro engineering and platform infrastructure.

The expected salary range for this position is $210,000 - $275,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This range does not include other elements of total compensation such as discretionary bonus, 401(k) program, health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and paid time‑off plan.
