Responsibilities

  • Be the combat sensors program quality engineer responsible for the overall quality for a subsystem and product submittals.
  • Lead the program team, factory teams and external suppliers through RCCA efforts for any quality issues related to your subsystem.
  • Perform or assure quality, drawing interpretations, data trending analysis, and maintainability of program requirements.
  • Support visits to various suppliers to ensure hardware and document compliance and inspections.
  • Evaluate whether documents, instructions and procedures are being followed during execution of all phases of the program and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possibly specialize in areas such as design, incoming material and inspections, production control, product evaluation and reliability, auditing, and inventory control as they apply to product or process quality.
  • May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
  • This position is full-time on site and second shift.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quality and/or manufacturing; OR a minimum of 3 years in quality/manufacturing with a Masters degree.
  • Experience working in a quality environment.
  • On-site support required working second shift.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • US citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with external suppliers.
  • Experience presenting status of quality issues to internal management and external customers.
  • Experience contributing to Corrective Action Board (CAB).
  • Experience interpreting factory and process metrics to recommend improvements or guide SRR reduction activity.
  • Experience with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience and/or with Earned Value and budgeting.
  • Experience and/or experience in support of proposals and quoting of Quality hours in bids.
  • Green/Black Belt certified in Lean Six-Sigma.

Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
