Key Responsibilities
- Implement AI/ML models for perception and control.
- Develop and optimize software for AI/ML applications, including embedded systems and high-performance computing.
- Work with sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, and IMUs.
- Use CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) for mechanical design.
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment like 3D printers and CNC machines.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to create functional systems.
- Iterate designs based on feedback and technical constraints.
- Document research and technical developments for internal and external sharing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and C++, with experience in multi-language systems.
- Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of perception, control, and sensor fusion.
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling and fabrication processes.
- Strong software engineering skills with clean, tested, and optimized code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of PCB design, embedded systems, and sensor integration.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning and autonomous navigation.
- Experience in manufacturing processes and industrial design principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and quick iteration ability.
Compensation details: The base pay range for this role is $147,400 to $272,100, depending on skills and experience. Apple offers additional benefits including stock programs, health coverage, retirement plans, educational reimbursement, and more. Benefits are subject to eligibility and plan terms.
