Position

Structural Test Engineer – Structural Test Lab, LM Space campus, Sunnyvale, CA. Full‑time, onsite. First shift.

Summary of Key Duties

Work with internal/external customers on test solutions that implement technical, schedule, and cost constraints that meet their contractual needs and requirements. Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with the programs and other organizations which include test planning, designing the test setup, stress analysis of test fixtures, overseeing test hardware fabrication, authoring test procedures, conducting tests, analyzing test results, and preparing comprehensive reports which verify and validate system performance. Testing ranges from small to large and everything in between using a wide array of structural testing techniques and configurations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in Aerospace testing practices
  • Structural or static Load Testing Experience
  • Structural Stress Analysis
  • Highly effective oral and written communication abilities needed to coordinate with internal customers
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Desired Skills

  • Experience with CREO and structural design
  • Certified Test Conductor in LM Space operations
  • Experience with Automation Framework test procedure software
  • Experience with machining practices

Security Clearance Statement

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40‑hour, five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off.

Pay Rate

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
