Job Title: Registered Nurse

Description:
Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication.
Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Knowledgeable in managing complications such as placenta accreta, pre-eclampsia, and massive transfusions.
Provide support in performing cervical exams for labor progression and assisting with deliveries.
Serve as the primary nurse for vaginal deliveries and as a secondary nurse for C-section deliveries.
Care for high-risk mothers and newborns post-delivery in various capacities.
Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios.
Each nurse will have specific responsibilities including fetal monitoring and maternal assessments.
Work collaboratively with a clinical resource nurse and other healthcare professionals on the unit.
Necessary skills include high-risk assessments, OB triage, and care during surgical recovery.
All travelers must be willing to float to other designated areas when necessary.
Availability to work 7 days a week is required, with no guaranteed block scheduling.
Expect to work every other holiday based on the start date.
This position provides an opportunity to enhance skills while supporting patients in a high-acuity environment.
