Description:
This is a travel RN position in the Blood and Marrow Transplant unit.
The unit has 37 beds and is staffed by 82 nurses and 7 patient care technicians.
During the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 15-16 nurses, and 3 patient care technicians on duty.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 3:1.
The unit utilizes Alaris Pumps and the Meditech electronic medical record system.
The position involves administering chemotherapy and following protocols for neutropenic fever, including blood culture draws and IV medications.
Candidates must have a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment.
This unit boasts a strong culture of teamwork and a commitment to helping patients overcome cancer.
It is recognized as a leader in innovative therapies for blood cancers.
Candidates who possess chemotherapy certification such as BMTCN and/or OCN will be given preference.
