Overview
Sr. Principal HR Business Partner for Sales - Onsite role at Newrez LLC. The Sr Principal HRBP serves as a business partner for assigned line(s) of business (LOB), acting as a consultant to the LOB leadership on talent strategies, workforce initiatives, and application of human resource programs and policies. The role requires strong consultation skills, peer leadership, influence, and solid business/financial acumen to drive progressive HR solutions aligned with business objectives. Must have a strong background supporting a Sales team.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality Human Resource support to the assigned LOB to drive people programs and initiatives to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Execute HR initiatives in talent management, performance management, employee relations, workforce engagement, employee retention, and talent development to support business outcomes.
- Liaise with functional HR partners to meet deliverables in talent acquisition, performance management, and talent development to enable effective HR services.
- Proactively analyze talent opportunities, advise leadership on risk, and balance legal considerations with business requirements.
- Engage in facilitation of reorganizations, change management, and cultural alignment to optimize performance; execute staffing plans, workforce acquisition, resource transfers, and reductions in force as needed.
- Consult with business leaders on realignment of organizational structures to gain efficiencies and clear career paths.
- Coach on pay and performance strategies; ensure equitable administration and partner with Compensation for timely review of pay data.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs, and impact metrics through analytics (internal mobility, engagement, retention, etc.).
- Consult on job development; facilitate creation of position descriptions and ensure market-based compensation with Compensation.
- Lead or participate in HR projects, policies, and programs at an enterprise level.
- Develop domain knowledge of Newrez’s businesses and understand short-term goals and long-term strategies.
- Maintain broad influence through relationships across the organization and ensure compliance with Newrez policies, processes, and practices.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws; model ethical standards and professional conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned; these on-site essential functions cannot be performed remotely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or related field. MBA or Master’s in Human Resources preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in Human Resources as a business partner providing direct consultation to business leaders.
- Direct experience supporting diverse business operations; financial services experience preferred.
- Strong background supporting a Sales team; prior matrixed environment leadership; professional HR certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred.
