Overview

Risk AI & Engineering - Senior Manager - Consulting - Location Open at EY. This is a senior leadership role focusing on risk AI, analytics, and data governance within EY's AI & Data practice. The role involves leading AI strategy at scale, guiding AI/ML solution delivery for clients, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems related to internal audit, internal controls, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of AI engineers and data scientists to define, develop, and operationalize AI strategies at scale for diverse clients, with a focus on risk consulting.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with client goals and mission; deliver modern ML/AI solutions for clients.
  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to team members with diverse skills; deliver high-quality client services on complex, emerging technology projects.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, cloud engineers, MLOps, DevOps, internal and external auditors to implement AI solutions in the client ecosystem.
  • Stay current with AI trends, regulatory requirements, and industry developments; assess ModelOps tools and integrations.
  • Define and implement AI architectures, end-to-end ML workflows, and scalable data platforms; ensure alignment with client data, AI, and technology landscapes.
  • Build relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels; manage engagements to meet time and budget expectations.
  • Champion an agile, client-focused delivery approach in a hybrid work model (onsite and remote).
  • Demonstrate leadership, project management, and effective communication to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or MS in a related field (Business, Economics, Technology, Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or Machine Learning).
  • 8-10+ years of professional consulting experience; 3-5+ years of direct management of technical or consulting teams.
  • Experience deploying Generative AI models and frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, LLMs, RAG) and using ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, ONNX).
  • Solid understanding of ML workflows, data ingestion, transformation, evaluation, and deployment; experience with MLOps (e.g., MLFlow) and containerization.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tools (GIT, Azure DevOps), and Agile tooling (Jira).
  • Strong Python skills; experience with SQL, Pandas, Spark; knowledge of data structures and data modeling.
  • Experience deploying end-to-end ML workflows on at least one major cloud platform; ability to design, build, and maintain ML models, pipelines, and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to meet client obligations; strong teamwork and leadership in diverse, hybrid environments.

Desired/Ideal Skills

  • Experience leading data science, AI, and cloud-enabled transformations at scale; familiarity with AI ethics, privacy, and data protection regulations.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum, design thinking, and relevant certifications (Microsoft, Databricks, AWS, NVIDIA, Snowflake) in Data & AI domains.
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field; proficiency in languages beyond Python (R, Java, JavaScript, etc.) and experience fine-tuning Generative AI models.
  • Ability to teach concepts and tools, and to lead multidisciplinary teams and initiatives.
