Assurance Experienced Manager, Accounting Advisory & Outsourcing

BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Experienced Manager to lead full‑life cycle finance and accounting outsourcing engagements. The role combines proposal development, client relationship management, technical solutions, project management and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead proposal development, staff assignment, engagement execution and final work product review for all assigned outsourcing engagements.
  • Design and implement integrated accounting solutions that meet client objectives and generate measurable financial performance.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by conducting discovery meetings, providing financial analysis, recommending process improvements and ensuring timely billing and issue resolution.
  • Manage day‑to‑day engagement oversight, review work products, provide coaching to associates and manage engagement budgets and forecast costs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on business development opportunities, scope new projects, build fee estimates and contribute to corporate growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA or advanced accounting degree preferred).
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience performing general accounting transactions and functions.
  • Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience in the accounting or assurance field.
  • Experience working with outsourced or delivery‑center engagements.
  • Consultative or business advisory experience preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.

Education & Licensing

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; MBA or advanced accounting degree preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.

Software Proficiency

  • Proficiency with industry‑standard accounting software and BDODrive platform (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Microsoft NAV, Bill.com).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, research and GAAP knowledge.
  • Effective project management, budgeting and billing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.

Salary Range

National and local ranges: $120,000 – $145,000 per year.
