🚀 Payroll Director

Overview

Our client, located in Nashville, is looking for a Payroll Director to join their team.

This is a direct hire opportunity, offering a hybrid schedule and a great opportunity to join a growing organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Ceridian Dayforce, international payroll, and experience leading a small team.

Duties

• Direct and manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee HRIS payroll data, including pay rate changes, job updates, deductions, and tax configurations.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for accounting, finance, and management teams.
• Serve as the primary liaison for payroll audits, tax filings, garnishments, and other regulatory submissions.
• Maintain and update payroll policies, ensuring alignment with company standards and legislative changes.
• Supervise and develop payroll staff, overseeing daily operations and performance management.
• Manage relationships with payroll and benefits vendors, including system integrations, data feeds, and funding authorizations for retirement and health accounts.
• Partner with Accounting and HR on payroll funding, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Ensure integrity of payroll systems, oversee internal controls and self-audit processes, and identify areas for process improvement.

Requirements

• Must have 10 years experience in payroll with at least 5 years as head of payroll with accounting experience
• Must have international payroll experience
• Ceridian Dayforce system experience required and must be proficient in MS Office Suite
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must have strong knowledge of multi-state, multi-site Payroll laws, policies, and procedures
• Excellent customer service skills

Title: Payroll Director
Location: Nashville, TN – hybrid schedule
Pay: $90k - $125k depending on experience
