Senior Property Manager (Industrial)
Join Avison Young , a global commercial real estate brokerage, to lead the overall management of an assigned industrial portfolio.
Job Overview
The Senior Property Manager reports to the Managing Director/Regional Director and is responsible for financial oversight, tenant relationships, vendor coordination, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Maintain strong relationships with Property Owners and tenants.
- Plan, budget, and control operating and capital expenditures; prepare annual budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, and variance analysis.
- Supervise accounts receivable and payable processes, including rent collection, lease compliance, and expense reconciliation.
- Ensure tenant lease agreements are fully complied with and respond to tenant requests.
- Oversee vendor selection, performance monitoring, and maintenance scheduling.
- Perform regular property inspections and recommend improvements.
- Maintain property safety standards, conduct Fire and Life Safety training, and manage emergency response plans.
- Lead and develop team members, setting performance goals and providing coaching.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, real estate, or finance.
- Minimum seven years of industrial property management or related experience.
- Strong understanding of financial terms and ability to analyze complex decisions.
- Excellent tenant, employee, and management conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce complex financial documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
