Brown & Brown is seeking a Benefits Account Executive to join our growing team in Jacksonville, FL .

The Benefits Account Manager provides support to employee benefit lines by maintaining, expanding, and servicing assigned accounts.

How You Will Contribute

  • New Business marketing including, but not limited to rating and quoting employee benefit lines
  • Spend up to 10% of the time outside of the office with clients.
  • Renewal marketing including, but not limited to rating and quoting assigned employee benefit accounts
  • New Business & Renewal Underwriting including, but not limited to gathering missing enrollment information and all underwriting status follow up
  • Work directly with group administrators to assist and educate on the proper administration procedures, State & Federal COBRA, additions & termination and all other administrative procedures
  • Assist employees with unresolved claim issues while educating them on the claims processing system
  • Develop and maintain working relationship with the various company marketing representatives and underwriters
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the various carriers’ rating plans and programs
  • Maintain favorable relationship with clients, producers, and employees
  • Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of employee benefit lines of coverage and rating

Licenses And Certifications

  • Resident Health & Life (Including Annuities & Variable Contracts 2-15)

Skills & Experience To Be Successful

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all employee benefits insurance coverage
  • 4-year college degree (Preferred)
  • 5+ years industry experience (Preferred)
