Responsibilities

Develop a strong independent research program within the Center for Immunity and Inflammation and in the department of primary appointment. Participate in conferences, symposia, and other activities supporting research, and the graduate education. Maintain a substantial extramurally funded research program at New Jersey Medical School. The Center is an integral part of the newly established Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (i3D) at RBHS, providing core resources including flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, state‑of‑the‑art proteomics and genomics centers, and newly renovated animal facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and Experience: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree with post‑doctoral experience, excellent communication skills, and a record of productivity in immunology. Candidates for the Associate Professor level should have a national scientific reputation, current research funding, and a history of mentorship and leadership.
• Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Develop a strong independent research program within the Center for Immunity and Inflammation; participate in conferences, symposia, graduate education, and maintain a substantial extramurally funded research program. Certification and licensing requirements as associated with credentials must be met.

Equipment Utilized

Equipment utilized will depend on the area of research and methods used. The CII Core Facilities include Biostatistics Core; Center for Genome Informatics; Experimental Histology & Confocal Imaging Core; Flow Cytometry and Immunology Core Laboratory; Molecular Resource Facility; and the Transgenic Core Services among others.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Some light lifting is required. The Investigator will have a private office located near their designated laboratory.

Immunization Requirements
