🚀 Advocacy Director

Overview

A company is looking for an Advocacy Director to lead efforts in building a coalition-driven movement for the sustainability of the Great Lakes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage campaign structures and strategies to advance regional and state-level policy agendas
• Build and maintain coalitions with stakeholders to foster policy change and engagement
• Provide strategic counsel to organizational leadership on policy opportunities and campaign execution

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (advanced degree preferred) and 10+ years of experience in public campaigns, policy advocacy, or related fields
• Deep expertise in executing coalition-driven public campaigns, preferably in the Great Lakes or water sector
• Strong relationships with influential leaders and stakeholders in the Great Lakes region
• Experience managing campaign teams and working collaboratively with diverse groups
• Solid understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes
