Marketing Associate

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – remote with occasional in-office or client meetings/events)

Hours: Part-time; 20 hours per week

Pay Range: $18–20/hr

Overview

Lucero Consulting Group is seeking a Marketing Associate to support our clients and internal team with hands‑on marketing execution. This role is designed for someone with a strong interest in marketing who enjoys both creative work and detail‑oriented tasks. You will work closely with our Marketing Coordinator and report directly to the VP of Operations, gaining experience across multiple industries including nonprofits, small businesses, event production, and more. This is a growth‑oriented position with opportunities to expand skills and responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media and Content: Assist with creating graphics, flyers, and marketing collateral from templates or from scratch; assist the Marketing Coordinator in executing campaigns by creating content, graphics, and posts that align with overall strategies; contribute creative ideas for content while following direction from leadership; draft captions and content for social media platforms; schedule and publish posts across client and internal accounts; monitor client accounts for comments and messages and respond to standard inquiries or flag as needed; maintain consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Client Requests and Marketing Support: Review submissions and client marketing requests; communicate with clients on straightforward marketing needs while keeping the Team in the loop; collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator on client campaigns, providing execution support and owning assigned deliverables; support the Team with project tracking, timelines, and task updates.
  • Marketing Operations and Vendor Coordination: Submit orders for print, signage, or swag once approved; coordinate with vendors on sizing, specs, and delivery timelines; track orders and ensure timely completion; maintain documentation of marketing orders and assets.
  • General Support: Conduct marketing research on vendors, competitors, and platforms; assist with drafting newsletters and marketing emails for review; ensure all deliverables are organized and filed properly for client access.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of marketing, communications, or design experience (internships count)
  • Strong skills in Canva; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Comfort working on social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, along with scheduling tools
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment

Schedule

  • 20 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule with 1–2 days in office in Phoenix, AZ
