Overview
Senior Manager Information Systems & Cyber Security with Security Clearance โ North Charleston, SC. Ability to Obtain Clearance Required.
Responsibilities
- IT Operations & Microsoft Platform: Own end to end administration of Microsoft 365 (Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune); Design and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks using Zero Trust principles; Automate routine tasks through PowerShell, Graph API, and Intune configuration profiles; Manage asset lifecycle and SaaS licensing for a growing, distributed workforce.
- Security Architecture & Hardening: Implement secure configuration baselines for Windows, macOS, mobile, and cloud workloads; Deploy and tune the Microsoft Defender suite (Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud Apps, Intune MTD); Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability management, and purple team style validation to drive continuous improvement; Maintain SIEM/SOAR detections and integrate log sources into Microsoft Sentinel.
- Compliance & Audit Readiness: Lead readiness and evidence collection for ISO27001, NIST , and CMMC Level2 assessments; Map security controls to customer and regulatory requirements, develop POA&Ms, and track remediation; Author and maintain policies, standards, and procedures aligned with NIST CSF and CIS benchmarks; Coordinate third party penetration tests and manage incident response exercises.
- Leadership & Talent Development: Coach a small team of Systems and Security Engineers, setting clear OKRs and providing technical guidance; Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and documentation; Partner with Program, HR, and Finance leaders to align technology strategy with business objectives; Own departmental budgeting, vendor management, and roadmap execution.
Qualifications
- Required: US Citizen; Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; 8+ years of progressive IT experience; 5+ years administering Microsoft 365 and Azure AD at scale (including conditional access and MFA).
- Preferred: Masterโs degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, or CMMC Pro; Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal customers under DFARS and FedRAMP requirements; Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Defender solutions and security hardening best practices; Proven leadership of at least two successful external compliance audits (SOC2, ISO27001, or CMMC); Expert level PowerShell and experience with Infrastructure as Code or deployment pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps); Familiarity with container security, secure software supply chain; Certifications ITIL or PMP.
