Overview

Commercial Litigation Associate — Woods Aitken LLP is looking for an associate with 2 to 5 years’ litigation experience to work in its commercial and construction law practice groups. This position is based in the Firm’s Omaha, Nebraska office, with periodic travel to its Lincoln office, Denver office, and other locations as needed due to the national scope of the Firm’s litigation practice. Trial advocacy experience is required; trial experience is preferred. The candidate should have strong academic credentials, including outstanding research and writing, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills, and should be licensed to practice law in Nebraska or be able to obtain a Nebraska law license in the near future. Responsibilities

• Work in the Firm’s commercial and construction law practice groups.
• Travel to the Lincoln and Denver offices and other locations as needed due to the national scope of the practice.
• Engage in hands-on litigation tasks and develop trial advocacy skills; trial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of litigation experience; relevant hands-on trial advocacy classwork acceptable.
• Strong academic credentials with excellent research, writing, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Licensed to practice law in Nebraska or able to obtain Nebraska licensure in the near future; additional licenses a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, nationally oriented litigation practice.
