Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Service – Lead/Foreman

Location: Newark, NJ

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $40–$50/hr

Overview:

We’re seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Service Lead/Foreman to handle onsite troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections of fire sprinkler systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and familiarity with NFPA codes.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, deluge, pre-action)

• Identify and correct code violations and system deficiencies

• Interpret and apply NFPA 25 during inspections and testing

• Perform fire pump flow tests (preferred but not required)

• Prepare detailed service tickets and reports

• Communicate clearly with clients and team members

• Lead and mentor junior technicians

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in fire sprinkler systems

• Strong skills in pipe fitting and sprinkler system installation

• Ability to read blueprints and understand fire codes (NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 20, 24)

• OSHA 10 certification preferred

• NICET certification in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems (or willingness to obtain)

• High school diploma or vocational training preferred
